Unique for CIS countries Museum of Vegetable Growing has opened in the Institute for Vegetable Growing (Belarus)

Unique documents and materials on vegetable growing development in Belarus are presented.

The objects in the exposition include materials about well-known Belarusian scientists, breeders and selectionists realizing researches on vegetable growing problems. Old photographs are the most valuable exhibit as they help to trace back the history of Belarusian science in vegetable growing branch since 1920 till present. Research works, monographs, manuals written by research workers of the Institute for Vegetable Growing are presented in the Museum.

Exposition also includes patents and certificates of authorship on the created varieties of vegetable crops. Varieties of vegetable crops of Belarusian selection are presented in the form of papier-mache.

In future the Museum exposition will be replenished with new items including rare books, research works of Belarusian scientists.
