"Monitoring of Agriculture Commodities Markets Based on the Information System"

Purpose:

Recent development of food markets, fluctuation of food prices as well as overall macroeconomic trends put population and farmers in suffering situation and depending on government support. Therefore, it is paramount of importance to generate joint overview on on existing agriculture markets monitoring system for development of recommendations on its strengthening through capacity building.

Objectives:

• Share experience of different stakeholders on monitoring of agriculture sector an food markets in order to get lessons learned;
• Make general informal assessment on the existing monitoring system;
• Identify main instrument s and area to be strengthen;
• Develop recommendations for possible improvement of use of information sources and instruments;
• Create integrated Agro Marketing web-portal to be developed and linked the FAO REU’s page
